Nilesh brings with him a rich tapestry of over 22 years in the dynamic world of innovation and intellectual property. Throughout his illustrious career, he has showcased an innate ability to infuse innovation into the DNA of organizations, enabling them to transform pioneering ideas into tangible reality.
His multifaceted professional background encompasses diverse roles in research and development, engineering, sales, quality control, innovation management, and intellectual property legal teams. This vast experience positions Nilesh as a unique asset, adept in understanding the intricacies and convergences of various domains.
In his most recent role with Emerson Electric Co., Nilesh played a pivotal role as he helmed strategic innovation management and intellectual property oversight for 12 premier engineering centers located in India. Additionally, his responsibilities spanned IP enforcement across an expansive territory of 30 countries in the SEA (South East Asia) and MEA (Middle East Africa) regions.
Among his monumental achievements is the facilitation of over 1,250 patent filings by Indian inventors under the aegis of Emerson’s Indian units. His foresight and leadership prowess are evident in the robust team of innovation and IP leaders he cultivated in India. These remarkable accomplishments have not gone unnoticed – the prestigious “IAM” intellectual property magazine has honored Nilesh by naming him among the top 300 IP strategists globally.
