Major Updates in Novelty Checker LLM & Ideacue
1. Disclosure Upload Feature
Users can now upload PDF/Word files directly and the system will auto-parse and extract text.
This enhancement removes the need for manual input, reducing time and increasing accuracy for users working from pre-existing documents.
2. Better AI Ranking & Mapping
The AI-powered ranking and mapping system has been significantly enhanced, featuring a redesigned, intuitive interface. Search results are now presented in a clean, tabular layout for easier comparison and review.
The results page has been completely redesigned to include an interactive mapping summary for each Key Feature of your disclosure – making it easier than ever to understand how prior art relates to your idea.
The mapping summary is color-coded for quick interpretation:
- Green means a direct match
- Yellow or ‘p’ means a partial match
- Red or ‘n’ means no match
Clicking on the mapping summary for each key feature reveals three relevant paragraphs from the prior art, helping you validate the mapping.
3. Detailed AI-Based Reports
Comprehensive mapping reports with relevant paragraphs and AI-generated conclusions. The Novelty Report has been upgraded to include:
- Detailed key feature analysis.
- Clearly structured mapping summaries.
- Insights and conclusions for each Key Feature based on the analyzed references.
- New Key feature mapping analysis approach with detailed paragraph discussions.
- Strong and reasonable conclusions for the mappings provided (highlighted sections).

4. Quick Decision Report
Summary report designed for fast decision-making with key highlights. Each downloadable report now includes a search summary report tailored to the selected disclosure, featuring:
- Deep analysis of the disclosure.
- Potential Risks and opportunities.
- Recommendations.
- Novelty and obviousness report.
5. Auto Upload for Downloads
Automatically process and download documents for analysis for the user.
6. Increased Word Limit
The input word limit has been increased, allowing you to include more technical details and background, resulting in more accurate results.
- Problem to be Solved: from 25 words → 100 words
- Technology Domain: from 25 words → 50 words
- Invention Disclosure: from 300 words → 600 words
7. AI-Based Patent Summary
Patent read mode now provides AI-generated summaries for quick analysis, making it easier to understand complex patent documents at a glance.
8. Japanese Support
Patent title and mapping summary now available in Machine-Translated Japanese, expanding accessibility for Japanese users.
9. Novelty Credits System
A new Novelty Credits mechanism has been introduced. Each user is assigned a set of credits that determines the number of searches they can perform. 1 Search Analysis consumes 1 credit.
The system will clearly display your available credits and deduct them based on search usage, promoting more thoughtful and efficient analysis cycles.
